Monkey Tail Ranch enriches lives by placing highly trained service and facility dogs with individuals, schools, and community organizations. Our dogs help support emotional well being, recovery from trauma, learning, and connection.
Through thoughtful training and careful placement, our dogs work in schools, courts, and community programs where they can provide calm, comfort, and stability to the people who need it most.
Each dog is carefully raised, socialized, and trained to meet the needs of the environment and the individuals they serve. Our goal is to create lasting partnerships that support both the handler and the broader community.
Elise Lalor is the caring and enterprising founder and Executive Director of Monkey Tail Ranch, as well as the owner of K9 Training Concepts.
Elise has worked professionally with dogs for over two decades, training both pet and working dogs. She spent more than a decade as a K9 search specialist working with FEMA California Task Force teams, Yosemite Search and Rescue, and sheriff’s offices in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
In 2006 she founded K9 Training Concepts, and in 2013 she established Monkey Tail Ranch to expand her work training dogs that serve individuals and communities.
Today Elise leads the development, training, and placement of service and facility dogs that support schools, courts, and community organizations across California.

Elise is also an avid equestrian and manages the horses at Monkey Tail Ranch alongside the ranch’s dog training programs.
